About Me
Hamid Behjat, born in 1976 in Urmia, is a multidisciplinary artist with a master's degree in Architecture. His work focuses on conceptual arts, with a specialization in sculpture, photography, installation, and video art. With an architectural and research-oriented perspective, he seeks to create a dialogue between space, form, and meaning in his pieces.
In addition to his artistic activities, Behjat is a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Art at Urmia University and the Urmia Boys' Fine Arts School, where he shares his knowledge and experience with the new generation of artists and architects. He is a member of prestigious art associations, including the Iranian Sculptors Association, the Center for the Development of Contemporary Visual Arts, and the Iranian Scientific Association of Visual Arts.
His works have been showcased in numerous domestic and international exhibitions, including in France and Azerbaijan, and have earned him multiple awards and honors, such as the Iranian Cypress Medal, the Golden Tuba of the Fajr Festival, and the National Seal of Authenticity for Handicrafts.
